Sierra Foster, BCBA
Sierra Foster is a Durango local and has been a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) since 2023. She brings five years of experience as a Special Education teacher in the Durango 9R school district to her current role. Sierra founded Animas ABA in 2023 with the goal to open the first ABA clinic in Durango after witnessing the significant impact that high-quality early intervention services had on her students as a teacher. As a community member and a former educator, she is passionate about supporting the development of comprehensive disability support services in the area.
Sierra’s foundational philosophy is grounded in the “it takes a village” approach. She strives to ensure our contributions at Animas ABA are integrated into the client’s entire care team. Her therapeutic philosophy centers on reducing suffering and harm, presuming competence, and enhancing the quality of life for her clients and their families. She welcomes any questions about ABA and encourages curiosity with an open door.

Animas ABA is the first locally owned and operated behavioral therapy clinic in La Plata county and Southwest Colorado. We create individualized treatment plans that target skills at home, in the community, in the clinic, or at school-it really depends on what your child needs!
